Budget around eight hours for a first playthrough, according to the developer’s October 16 Steam reply. A player in the same thread reported about four hours for a first Wrench-only run; that is one report, not an average.
One ending or all four?
A normal clear and a completionist run are different commitments. Preserve a save before the Aurifer branch to revisit the two main endings. The secret route reported in the endings guide requires both main endings and a new run, so do not budget the same time for all four endings as for one clear. No measured all-endings average has been verified here.
Demo length is a separate question
The developer’s eight-hour estimate concerns the game, not the updated demo. Old demo videos and Steam review playtime do not measure a current complete playthrough. If you only have a short session, use the official demo to check the movement, puzzle interactions and live-action presentation before buying.
